What is GST Registration?
GST (Goods and Services Tax) registration is mandatory for businesses whose turnover exceeds ₹20 lakhs (₹10 lakhs in special category states), and is essential for all exporters who want to claim zero-rated export benefits and Input Tax Credit (ITC) refunds.
As an exporter, a valid GSTIN (GST Identification Number) is required to:
