IEC code क्या है और किसे चाहिए
IEC, Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) से मिलने वाला 10 अंकों का registration number है। India से goods या services का import या export करने वाले हर business या individual के लिए ये ज़रूरी है। इसके बिना bank trade के international payments process नहीं करते और customs आपका shipment clear नहीं करता। Proprietorship, partnership, LLP या company, जो भी विदेश में बेचना चाहता है, उसे पहले shipment से पहले IEC लेना चाहिए। IEC आपके PAN से जुड़ा होता है।
IEC के लिए ज़रूरी documents
- Business या applicant का PAN card
- Proprietor या authorised signatory का Aadhaar card या passport
- Bank account details, cancelled cheque या bank certificate के साथ
- Business premises का address proof
- Digital signature (company या LLP के लिए, कुछ मामलों में)
IEC code बनाने का online process
- Step 1: DGFT portal (dgft.gov.in) पर अपने PAN और business details से register कीजिए।
- Step 2: Online IEC application form (ANF-2A) में business और bank details भरिए।
- Step 3: ज़रूरी documents बताए गए format में upload कीजिए।
- Step 4: ₹500 की government fee online दीजिए।
- Step 5: Verification के बाद IEC certificate digital रूप में मिल जाता है, आमतौर पर 1 से 3 working days में।

हर साल IEC update क्यों ज़रूरी है
IEC expire नहीं होता और इसे हर साल renew नहीं करना पड़ता। लेकिन DGFT के नियम के अनुसार हर IEC holder को हर साल April से June के बीच अपनी IEC details confirm या update करनी होती हैं, भले कुछ न बदला हो। ये update न करने पर IEC deactivate हो सकता है, और फिर reactivate होने तक आप export नहीं कर पाएंगे। ये तारीख calendar में ज़रूर लिख लीजिए।
आम गलतियां जिनसे बचें
- PAN और bank account में नाम अलग-अलग होना। Application से पहले दोनों में एक जैसा नाम रखिए।
- धुंधले या गलत format के documents upload करना, जिससे application रुक जाती है।
- IEC के बाद GST और LUT भूल जाना। बिना LUT के export पर पहले IGST देना पड़ता है।
- April से June का annual update छोड़ देना।
